I need to inherit from a configuration section base class located in a different assembly (referenced by the Configuration section project).

The designer currently only allows for selecting base classes that are part of the same CSD file (e.g. ConfigurationSection.csd).

Created Issue: Export diagram as image [9936]

It would be very useful to be able to export the diagram as an image.
While small diagrams may be captured using a screenshot and then cropped, in case of large diagrams (or small screens!) the diagram may not fit the screen at a zoom level high enough for things to be readable.

This functionality is available in other similar diagrams, e.g. EntityFramework's edmx editor, as a right-click-on-the-canvas menu option.

I'm hoping the actual functionality is provided by Visual Studio's diagramming module, and it just needs to be exposed by CSD.

During first install, I received an IOException, stating that a file with a user section was still open.

After a restart, I now get this error on startup of the installer. I cannot retry to install.

Created Issue: The custom tool 'CsdFileGenerator' failed. Unrecognized Guid format. [9841]

In VS2012 (VB.NET) I am trying to use this tool with a Class Library project (and eventually also created a Configuration Section Project). I have created my diagram but the tool fails to generate any code. I get the warning "The custom tool 'CsdFileGenerator' failed. Unrecognized Guid format." and then nothing happens.

iLMax has implemented this in VS2012 release.

Closed Issue: Demo config files have assembly name set to namespace. [8511]

[[ UPDATE ]] When creating a new CSD file, correct the "assembly name" property in the designer view (click empty space in designer). The assembly name will now be generated correctly.
 
 
When the demo config files are generated for the user's CSD, the assembly name is not added correctly. The namespace is being added instead.

Consider that the assembly name in the DLL is named "MyAssembly".

In the "WriteConfigSection" method in "ConfigurationSectionDesignerSample.tt", the call to "this.ConfigurationSectionModel.AssemblyName" is returning the Namespace. It should be returning the assembly name.

Closed Issue: Elements list is generated in XSD as "" [9510]

This forces order of the child elements..
There should be an option to use "<xs:all>" when order should not be forced.

Added a ConfigurationElement, used the < and > characters in the Documentation attribute in the Config Section Designer properties for an attribute in the ConfigurationElement. The resulting XSD did not escape these characters, creating a parsing error in the resulting XSD file.

The section.Instance property returns null if the section is nested within groups. This is because you need to pass the path including groups to the GetSection method. E.g. for:

For now I don't generate the singleton and just instatiate the sections myself.

As I started to change the documentation, it became clear that my first thought was probably the best. General doesn't seem like a good fit for this... Sorry for the flip-flopping.
