Release Notes

Important note for users with 2.0.0 r2 installed! This release only fixes an install issue for some users running Windows XP. There are no other changes in this release, so you do not need to update.

Configuration Section Designer is a Visual Studio add-in that allows you to graphically design .NET Configuration Sections and automatically generates all the required code and a schema definition (XSD) for them.

This release targets Visual Studio 2010 and utilizes the VSIX extension architecture.

This is a beta release. Please do not hesitate to report any issues in the "Issue Tracker".

      • Adjusted the VSIX package to prevent most cases of the "path too long" exception when installed on Windows XP machines.


  • Uninstall existing version of the Configuration Section Designer extension in Visual Studio 2010.
  • Download and run the VSIX package to install.
